What is that Saying about People Who Live in Glass Houses?

“Marriage is an extremely important institution in this country and protecting it is, in my mind, worth the extraordinary step of amending our constitution.”

- Sen. John Ensign (R, NV) on his support for the Federal Marriage Amendment

Well, what do you expect? These social conservative assholes are one of the major reasons I left the Republican Party. I loathe these people will a passion that never ends. In fact, I'll admit I LIKE seeing stories like this. I'm hoping more are on the way.

I'm beginning to feel that all these people against same sex marriage are hiding something. What could it be?

Several years back I read a book -- forget the title now -- I will bring it to Drinking Liberally -- about "minority" populations within the human gene pool. Bald people, left handers, color blind people, and homosexuals were discussed.

Anyway, about 3 to 5 percent of the male population is homosexual. There is about 40 percent of the male population that has homosexual leanings of varying degree. The rest of us are straight.

I'm convinced that most social conservatives fall into the 40 percent "leaners" category, and they've been taught by 2,000+ year old documents ("divined" by the way, by sheepherders with not even a kindergarten education) that homosexuality is wrong.

In short, they are scared of their true selves, and gotta go around making others miserable because they are scared of themselves.

I, for one, do everything I can to make them aware of what they are doing to the country and to their own people.

I have nothing but comtempt and anger for them.
